TESTIMONIALS
“
The author knows Baja intimately and is extremely familiar with both American and Mexican cultures, which brings Lily’s story to vivid life with wonderful dialogues.
The audience for this book is primarily young adults, but it is also of interest for mature adults like myself who wish to have an insightful glimpse into Mexico through the eyes of a young woman making the transition from San Diego. It’s a good read – highly recommended.

I wish it was true! If only we could really communicate with animals on that level. As a Baja lover, I really related to the book: the places, the plants, and the animals. A super fun read, a must for animal lovers.

Whale Magic is warm and engaging. The reader is invited into Lily’s teenage life, some of it typical, some of it incredibly special. I felt her emotions and could visualize the beautiful locations her adventures take her to. I can’t wait to read the next book!

BIO
I am a border baby, having grown up on the border of Arizona/Mexico and California/Mexico, with one foot in the US and the other in Mexico: two languages, two cultures, never fully accepted by either, yet proud and grateful to be a part of both.
I'm a proud graduate of The University of Arizona.
I was an educator for almost 20 years when I left behind my career and everything else to move to Mexico, join the organic farming movement, and write, write, write. Once I started writing, I couldn’t stop. This is my first novel, with two more Lily novels mapped out in my head and limitless possibilities for other characters and stories.
